Somatic Breath: Nervous System Reset

A therapeutic, trauma-aware breathwork experience designed to guide participants out of stress and into a state of deep calm, safety, and reconnection.

This session offers a powerful pause — supporting participants to decompress, regulate their nervous system, and return to their daily lives feeling grounded, restored, and more connected to themselves.

The Space

The environment is intentionally curated to feel safe, soft, and deeply nurturing — with low, warm lighting and a peaceful, serene atmosphere. Participants are fully supported with blankets, pillows, bolsters, eye pillows, and other props to encourage comfort, relaxation, and a sense of being held.

Who This Workshop Is For

This session is open to both beginners and experienced breathwork practitioners. It is especially supportive for those who:

  • Feel stressed, overwhelmed, or stuck in “fight or flight”

  • Experience anxiety or difficulty relaxing

  • Are holding emotional or physical tension in the body

  • Feel disconnected and want to reconnect with themselves

  • Are on a healing journey and seeking a safe, supportive space

  • Want to consciously reset and restore at the end of the week

What You Can Expect...

Participants are welcomed into the space and guided into gentle nervous system regulation practices to create a sense of safety in the body. Following this you will experience a guided somatic breathwork practice designed to:

  • Activate and then regulate the nervous system

  • Release stored stress, tension, and emotional energy

  • Support a shift into parasympathetic (“rest and digest”) state

After the breathwork, the focus shifts to integration and gentle regulation, allowing the body to settle and process. There will be time and space for optional written exercises to support emotional processing and integration as you reflect on the experience, anchor the shift in the nervous system and set intentions moving forward.

Safety & Support

This is a trauma-informed and participant-led space. Emphasis is placed on:

  • Choice and autonomy — participants are always in control of their experience

  • Physical safety — encouraged to adjust posture, rest, or stop at any time

  • Emotional safety — all feelings and responses are welcomed without judgement

  • Pacing — no pressure to push beyond personal limits

Contraindications & Considerations

Participants are advised to consult a healthcare professional before attending if they have:

  • Severe cardiovascular conditions

  • Respiratory issues (e.g., severe asthma)

  • Epilepsy or a history of seizures

  • Pregnancy

  • Severe or unmanaged mental health conditions

Support and modifications are available where appropriate.

Intended Outcomes

Participants can expect to leave feeling:

  • More calm and regulated

  • Grounded and present in their body

  • Emotionally lighter and more spacious

  • Reconnected to themselves

  • Ready to enter the weekend with greater ease and clarity

Closing Note

This experience is an invitation to pause, soften, and return to safety within the body. Through breath, awareness, and gentle support, participants are guided back to a place many rarely access — a state where the body can truly rest, restore, and begin to heal.
