Roll & Re-Align — A 2-Hour Restorative Experience with Alyssia

Your body has been keeping score.

Every hour at a desk. Every night of disrupted sleep. Every time you've pushed through instead of pausing. Every layer of tension that arrived quietly and stayed — in the shoulders, the hips, the jaw, the places you've learned to live around because they've been there so long.

Roll & Re-Align by Candlelight is two hours of addressing all of it — properly, methodically, and in the most deeply nourishing context we've found for this kind of work: a candlelit room, an unhurried pace, and Alysia's precise, warm guidance from the first moment to the last.

What the practice is

Roll & Re-Align combines self-myofascial release using massage balls with the alignment principles of Pilates — a deeply effective pairing that works directly with the muscles, fascia, and connective tissue to release what has been held and restore what has been lost.

Myofascial release works by applying sustained, targeted pressure to the connective tissue — the continuous web of fascia that runs through every layer of the body and, when restricted, creates the knots, tightness, postural imbalance, and chronic discomfort that stretching alone rarely resolves. The massage balls allow you to work precisely and responsively into your own body — guided throughout by Alysia, but always at your own pace and your own depth.

The Pilates alignment principles woven through the practice ensure that what is released is also restored — that as tension melts away, healthy movement patterns and postural balance are gently rebuilt in its place. This is not just releasing what's tight. It is reminding the body of how it was designed to sit, stand, move, and breathe.

What two hours makes possible

A single class is genuinely effective. Two unhurried hours by candlelight is something else entirely.

The extended format allows the practice to move through the body's layers at a pace that a standard class simply cannot accommodate — spending real time in each area, allowing the fascia to respond fully before moving on, and creating a cumulative depth of release that builds through the session. By the final third of the evening, the body has been so thoroughly worked and so completely met that the release happening in the tissue is matched by a profound settling in the nervous system.

This is not coincidental. Myofascial release directly supports nervous system regulation — as the fascia releases, the body's stress response quietens, the breath deepens, and the particular kind of chronic low-level tension that most of us carry as a baseline begins, at last, to dissolve.

What the candlelight does

The ceremonial container of this experience is as intentional as the practice itself.

Candlelight does something to the nervous system before a single movement has been made. It signals — at a level below conscious thought — that this time is different. That this is not a task to complete or a class to get through. That this is time that belongs entirely to the body, held in something closer to ritual than routine.

In that container, the practice lands differently. The releases are deeper. The stillness between movements is more complete. And the two hours pass in a way that feels both expansive and, somehow, exactly the right length.

What you'll leave with:

  • Knots and restrictions released from muscles and fascia that have been holding for months

  • Improved circulation and a body that moves with noticeably more ease and freedom

  • Postural balance and healthy movement patterns gently restored

  • A nervous system that has been thoroughly, genuinely regulated — not temporarily calmed

  • Relief from chronic tension, discomfort, and the postural strain of daily life

  • A clarity and sense of physical ease that is immediately, unmistakably felt

This experience is for you if:

  • You carry chronic tension, tightness, or discomfort that stretching and yoga don't seem to fully resolve

  • You live a largely sedentary life and feel the postural consequences of that in your body

  • You want a deeply effective physical practice held in a restorative, ceremonial container

  • You are curious about myofascial release and want to experience it at its most thorough and immersive

  • Your body has been asking for real, unhurried attention — and you're finally ready to give it that

All levels welcome. No prior experience of myofascial release or Pilates required. Massage balls and all equipment provided — just bring yourself and comfortable clothing you can move in.
