New Moon Reset: Yoga Nidra & Sound Bath Journey

A 90-Minute Evening Experience | Women's Circle | All Levels Welcome

There is a version of intention-setting that exhausts you before the cycle has even begun.

The vision board. The goal list. The pressure to want the right things, clearly enough, with enough conviction to make them real. It is intention-setting from the surface — from the busiest, most effortful part of the mind — and it rarely touches the deeper place where genuine change actually lives.

This experience was created from a different understanding entirely.

The new moon is the quietest moment in the lunar cycle. The sky is dark. No visible light. And rather than treating that darkness as absence — as something to push through or fill — this gathering uses it as what it has always been in nature's wisdom: fertile ground. The same soil a seed needs before it can find its way toward light.

What you plant here, you plant in stillness. In the body. In the part of you that knows before the mind has caught up.

The evening unfolds in five movements:

Arrival & Grounding (15 minutes)
We begin by arriving — fully, deliberately, without rush. Settled into blankets and bolsters, you'll be guided through a brief teaching on the moon's phases and the particular invitation of the new moon: not emptiness, but rest. Not absence, but possibility. Simple breath awareness lands you in the body and out of the week, creating the foundation of presence from which everything that follows can be genuinely received.

Journalling — Setting the Seed (15 minutes)
From that grounded place, we write.

Guided prompts invite you to surface what is already stirring — not to manufacture something new, but to notice what has been quietly present, waiting for space and attention. This is journalling as listening rather than planning. As discovery rather than declaration.

Possible prompts include: What am I ready to release from the last cycle? What is one seed I want to plant? What would it feel like if it grew?

There are no right answers. There is only what is honest and true for you, in this moment, at this turning point of the cycle.

Yoga Nidra (35–40 minutes)
The heart of the evening — and where the intention you've just written becomes something more than words on a page.

You'll be guided into a full Yoga Nidra practice — a conscious, sleep-like relaxation that moves through the complete layers of the self: physical, energetic, mental. As the body rests and the mind descends to its deepest point of stillness, your intention is woven gently back in — spoken at the precise moment when the nervous system is most open and most receptive.

This is the difference between an intention held in the mind and one planted in the body. The mind forgets. The body remembers.

Sound Bath (25–30 minutes)
As the Yoga Nidra completes, the sound begins — and no guidance is needed here. Singing bowls, chimes, and gong wash over the resting body, continuing the work the nidra has started, moving through the layers that words and thought have already softened. The sound does not ask anything of you. It simply resonates — deepening the stillness, integrating the intention, and carrying you into a quality of rest that most people describe as unlike anything they experience in ordinary life.

Slow Return & Close (10 minutes)
The return is unhurried. A gentle re-awakening, a moment of seated stillness, and an invitation — not an instruction — to add one closing line to your journal: the seed I'm planting this cycle. If the group wishes, a single sentence shared aloud — a quiet witnessing of what each person is growing, held in the safety of the circle.

You leave not with more to do, but with something already planted. Already real. Already growing in the dark.

The moon as a monthly rhythm

The new moon arrives once a month — and so does this gathering. Each cycle brings its own energy, its own invitation, its own quality of darkness and possibility. Over time, returning to this space becomes its own practice: a monthly moment of honest reflection, genuine rest, and conscious intention that anchors everything else you're building.

What you'll leave with:

  • An intention planted in the body, not just held in the mind

  • A nervous system genuinely restored through Yoga Nidra and live sound

  • A journal entry that captures something true about where you are and where you're growing

  • The particular peace of having been genuinely still — perhaps for the first time in the cycle

  • A community of women who understand the value of pausing before they grow

  • A monthly practice you can return to, cycle after cycle, as your own life deepens around it

This experience is for you if:

  • You are ready to set intentions from a place of stillness rather than striving

  • You feel the pull of the lunar cycle and want to work with it consciously and deliberately

  • You are navigating a transition — personal, professional, or seasonal — and want to begin the next chapter from genuine clarity

  • You want to experience Yoga Nidra at its most purposeful and deeply held

  • You are looking for a monthly rhythm of rest, reflection, and community that supports everything else you're growing

All levels welcome. No prior experience of Yoga Nidra, sound healing, or moon work required. Everything is provided — blankets, bolsters, journals and pens. Just bring yourself.
